Women’s Tennis Earns UTR ITA Team Of The Month Honors

ITA PRESS RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's tennis team has received Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Team of the Month accolades, as announced by the ITA earlier today.

Despite their limited schedule so far in April, the Gulls have made the most of it rattling off five wins combined against Curry, crosstown rival Gordon, and Wentworth.

Coach D'Angelo's crew have not dropped a single match this month and have only allowed their opponents to earn one point. In its second meeting of the season, Gordon managed to put one point on the board before falling to Endicott, 8-1. The other four dual matches were shutouts at the hands of the Gulls.

This is Endicott's first-ever UTR ITA Team of the Month award.

The UTR ITA Team of the Month award is currently in its first year of inception and is bestowed upon men's and women's programs from all five divisions (NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and Junior College) who show the largest increase in its UTR Power 6 rating over the course of the previous month during the spring dual match season.

UTR is the global gold standard for all tennis players, which reflects their current skill level based on actual performance and is used by college coaches for evaluating player ability, seeding, selection, and more.
