NCAA TOURNAMENT: No. 11 Tufts Downs Endicott, 5-0

BALTIMORE, MD. — The Endicott women's tennis team fell to No. 11 nationally ranked Tufts, 5-0, on Saturday afternoon at Johns Hopkins, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Gulls were down, 3-0, after doubles play falling 8-1 at third doubles, 8-3 at first doubles, and 8-2 at second doubles.

Then in singles play, Tufts clinched the match via wins at No. 3 singles (6-0, 6-0), and No. 6 singles (6-0, 6-0).

"We played hard and have a lot to be proud of this year," said women's tennis head coach, Anthony D'Angelo. "Tufts played great, and we hope to close the gap against teams of that caliber."

WHAT'S NEXT 

No. 11 Tufts (7-1) will face Johns Hopkins, on Sunday, May 16 at 12 PM. Endicott sees their season come to an end at 10-1.
