Women’s Lacrosse Announces 2016 Schedule

2016 ENDICOTT WOMEN'S LACROSSE SCHEDULE

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's lacrosse team has announced its 2016 schedule, which will feature a tough non-conference slate that includes four games against teams who reached the NCAA Tournament last season.

Endicott begins the season on the road against the reigning NEWMAC champions, MIT, on Wednesday, March 2 at 6 p.m. The Gulls will then host Wheaton in their home opener on Saturday, March 5 at 1 p.m. The Lyons are two years removed from making an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Other key matchups to watch throughout the season include Trinity, who lost in the NCAA title game last season, Bowdoin, and Western New England. All three teams, along with MIT, made an NCAA Tournament appearance, and combined for a 70-12 record (.854) in 2015. The Gulls round out their non-conference schedule with games against two other NEWMAC opponents in Babson and Wellesley, and also take on Rensselaer and Southern Maine.

March 5 – Wheaton vs. Endicott, 1 PM
NOTE: First home game of the 2016 season

March 17 – Trinity vs. Endicott, 9:30 AM (Clermont, Fla.)
NOTE: Trinity posted a 21-2 record in 2015 and lost in the NCAA Tournament championship game

March 23 – Bowdoin vs. Endicott, 5 PM
NOTE: Bowdoin went 16-4 last season and made the NCAA Tournament

April 9 – Western New England vs. Endicott, 12 PM
NOTE: The Golden Bears are the defending CCC champions

April 23 – Roger Williams vs. Endicott, 1 PM
NOTE: The Hawks landed a spot on the NCAA New England Regional rankings and played in the CCC title game

April 26 – University of New England vs. Endicott, 4 PM
NOTE: Final home game scheduled during the regular season
