Stoeckinger awarded NECC Rookie of the Week for second time

BEVERLY, Mass. – In a 1-1 week for the Endicott men’s volleyball team, freshman middle Thomas Stoeckinger (Malibu, Calif.) averaged 3.0 kills per set with a .458 hitting percentage and for his efforts was recognized as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.

Stoeckinger stood out in Endicott’s straight-set loss to \#2 Springfield last Thursday night with a team-high 11 kills on 16 attempts with just three errors.  The freshman also had his hand into two blocks against the Pride. 

Earlier in the week against NECC foe Daniel Webster, Stoeckinger chipped in with four kills as part of a .337 team hitting percentage effort by the Gulls in a 3-0 win.

Stoeckinger and the Gulls return to action this Friday and Saturday down in Florida against Warner Southern, Ramapo, Johnson & Wales Denver, and Stevens Tech.
