BENNINGTON, Vt. -
Freshman middle Thomas Stoeckinger (Malibu, Calif.) put up solid overall numbers to lead Endicott men's volleyball to a straight set 25-23, 28-26, 25-21 win over Southern Vermont in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action.

Stoeckinger struck a match-high 12 kills, assisted on six blocks at the net and served up two aces to lead an Endicott squad that improved to 5-5 overall and 3-0 in NECC matches thus far this season.  As a team, the Blue and Green had 11 blocks as both sophomores Josh Anderson (La Canada, Calif.) and Travis Netherton (Waukegan, Ill.) did their part with six and four assisted blocks, respectively.

Southern Vermont (4-6, 3-1 NECC) saw both sophomore Antohny Barahona (Eagle Rock, Calif.) and freshman Corey Mills (Fresno, Calif.) tie for a team-high seven kills in the loss.

Endicott senior outside hitter Jeremy Siden (Natick, Mass.) joined Stoeckinger as the only players on the court with double digit kills as he tallied 11 with nine digs.  Netherton and Anderson also contributed in the Gulls attack with nine and seven kills.

Gulls sophomore setter Carter Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) dished out 24 assists in 26 attempts without an error while fellow setter Jeremy Schlosser (Emmaus, Pa.) added 14 assists.  The duo combined to find six different Gulls hitters for kills.

Defensive specialists Andrew Slocum (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) and Aaron Jessee (Okinawa, Japan) kept the Mountaineers off the board with 12 and 10 digs, respectively.

Endicott improved to 9-0 against Southern Vermont dating back to their first meeting back in 2007.

The Gulls continue their NECC schedule at home on Wednesday, February 22nd with another tilt against Regis starting at 7:00 pm.  Endicott beat the Pride 3-0 just three days ago.
