  • Endicott Bows Out of CCC Tournament with 5-0 Loss to Nichols in the Semifinals
    April 30, 2015
    BEVERLY, Mass.- In the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) semifinals for the fifth consecutive year, the third seeded Endicott men’s tennis team saw their season come to an end as the Gulls fell to the #2 seed Nichols 5-0. Endicott ends its season with an 11-7 record overall as Nichols improves to 16-5 and advances to the CCC Championship to take on #1 Roger Williams as the Hawks defeated #4 Gordon 5-0.
  • Kirkpatrick's CCC Rookie of the Year Honor Leads Four All-CCC Players

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- For just the third time in program history, the Endicott men's tennis team saw Christopher Kirkpatrick (Newburyport, Mass.) receive the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Year Award as the freshman was one of four players to receive All-CCC honors. Kirkpatrick joins Zach Arpey (2011) and Josh Schoen (2006) as the only Rookie of the Year winners for the men's tennis program as he becomes the first All-CCC First Team member since 2010.

    BEVERLY, Mass.- With a trip to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) semifinals to take on #2 Nichols on the line in their quarterfinal matchup, #3 Endicott staved off #6 Western New England 5-1 to advance to their fifth consecutive CCC semifinal round and third straight under head coach Jeremy Howard. After defeating the Golden Bears for the second time this season, Endicott now improves to 11-6 on the season while WNE falls to 7-8 to wrap up their 2015 campaign.
  • Dolph and Eherts Sweep Conference Awards; Named CCC Player and Rookie of the Week

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Following a perfect 3-0 week that saw the Gulls claim three conference wins and defeat two playoff-bound teams to lock up the #3 seed in the upcoming CCC Men's Tennis Tournament, Endicott's Michael Dolph (Stratford, Conn.) and Nicholas Eherts (New Milford, Conn.) were named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player and Rookie of the week, respectively. Endicott, now 10-6 on the season, opens up postseason play Tuesday as the Gulls play host to #6 Western New England in the CCC Quarterfinals at 3:30 p.m.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – After the conclusion of the 2015 regular season schedule, the Endicott men’s tennis team (10-6, 6-2 CCC) has been awarded the #3 seed in the CCC Tournament and will face #6 Western New England (7-7, 3-5 CCC) on Tuesday afternoon in the quarterfinal round.
  • Gulls Victorious Over Gordon On Senior Day 5-4

    BEVERLY, Mass.- Behind a strong doubles performance that gave the Gulls a 2-1 lead heading into singles play, the Endicott men’s tennis team was able to hold off their cross-town rival Gordon and edge out a 5-4 win to finish regular season play. Endicott is now 10-6 on the season and 6-2 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play while Gordon falls to 14-4 and 5-3 in CCC action. The conference office will be releasing the CCC Tournament seeding and schedule this evening at the conclusion of conference play.

    BEVERLY, Mass.- With just two Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matches remaining in the men’s tennis regular season heading into play today, Endicott claimed an emphatic 9-0 win over Salve Regina in their final tune-up before a big match against cross-town rival Gordon on Saturday. The Gulls now sit at 9-6 (5-2) on the season while the Seahawks fall to 3-12 (1-6). Endicott hosts Gordon on Saturday with a start time of 12:00 p.m. while Salve Regina travels to Eastern Nazarene for a 1:00 p.m. start.
  • Gulls Claim Pivotal 5-4 Road Decision Over Eastern Nazarene in CCC Play

    QUINCY, Mass.- Trailing 2-1 after doubles play, the Endicott men's tennis team would claim four of six singles matches to grab a 5-4 decision on the road against Eastern Nazarene. With the win, the Gulls improve to 8-6 on the season overall, and 4-2 in CCC play with two regular season matches left before the CCC Tournament begins on Tuesday, April 28. Endicott returns home for their final two contests as they welcome Salve Regina and Gordon to town on the 22nd and 25th.
  • Gulls Fall to CCC Foe Nichols on the Road

    DUDLEY, Mass. – The Endicott men’s tennis team traveled to Nichols on Saturday afternoon for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup. Despite some strong doubles play the Gulls fell to the reigning CCC champions 9-0. Endicott falls to 7-6 (3-2 CCC) while the Bison improve to 14-5 (6-1 CCC).

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men’s tennis team scored an 8-1 win over CCC opponent Curry on Wednesday afternoon to see their 2014-15 season record rise to 7-5 (3-1 CCC). The Gulls swept through doubles play and took five of six singles matches en route to the landslide win.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott men’s tennis defeated CCC opponent Western New England 5-4 on Monday afternoon after the Gulls took two out of three doubles matches before freshman Nicholas Eherts (New Milford, Conn.) won his #6 singles matches 6-3, 6-4 to get the match-clinching fifth point.

    WALTHAM, Mass. – The Endicott men’s tennis team traveled to Bentley on Sunday afternoon for a non-conference matchup. Despite a key #1 doubles victory from freshman Christopher Kirkpatrick and junior Michael Dolph (Stratford, Conn.), the Gulls fell in a tough 7-2 decision. Endicott sits at 5-5 (1-1 CCC) while the Falcons improve to 10-6 (5-2 NE-10).

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has released their weekly men’s tennis awards and freshman Christopher Kirkpatrick (Newburyport, Mass.) has been named the CCC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. The Gulls went 1-0 last week improving to 5-4 (1-1 CCC) after claiming a 6-0 victory over Wentworth in their spring home opener. Endicott will take the court next on Wednesday, April 8th as they travel to CCC foe Western New England for a 3:30 p.m. start.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men’s tennis team hosted Wentworth on Saturday afternoon for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup. The Gulls soared to a 6-0 shutout victory over the Leopards to improve to 5-4 (1-1 CCC) while Wentworth fall to 2-6 (1-3 CCC). Endicott claims their first CCC victory in their spring home opener.

    BRISTOL, R.I. – The Endicott men’s tennis team traveled to Roger Williams on Sunday afternoon for their Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opener. The Gulls battled in doubles play but fell short as they dropped a 5-1 decision to the CCC foe. Endicott sits at 4-4 (0-1 CCC) while the Hawks improve to 5-3 (2-0 CCC).

    DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) released their weekly men’s tennis players of the week last night and freshman Christopher Kirkpatrick (Newburyport, Mass.) was honored as Rookie of the Week. Kirkpatrick helped give the Gulls a 2-1 week while they competed at the Spring Tennis Fest in Hilton Head Island, S.C. over spring break. Endicott sits at 3-3 overall on the season as they look ahead to today where they battle with North Shore rival Salem State at 3:00 p.m.
  • Men's Tennis Shuts Out Salem State in North Shore Matchup

    SALEM, Mass. – The Endicott men’s tennis team took down North Shore rival Salem State 9-0 on Thursday afternoon as the Gulls swept through doubles action with all three duos winning 8-1 before the singles lineup swept through their Vikings opposition. Endicott improved to 4-3 overall heading into their CCC schedule opener on Saturday, March 28th at Roger Williams.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- After posting a perfect 6-0 combined record (3-0 #1 Singles, 3-0 #1 Doubles) on the week, Endicott men’s tennis freshman Christopher Kirkpatrick (Newburyport, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week. Kirkpatrick’s performance helped the Gulls to a 2-1 record at the Spring TennisFest in Hilton Head, S.C. Endicott returns to action on Thursday as they travel across the bay to square off against North Shore rival Salem State at 3:00 p.m.
  • Endicott Drops Tight 5-4 Decision to Ramapo; Gulls Take on Fairmont St. Thursday

    HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.- Trailing the Roadrunners of Ramapo 4-2 heading into doubles play, the Gulls need to sweep but came up just short, taking two of the necessary three doubles contests to drop a close 5-4 match. Endicott moves to 2-1 in the Spring TennisFest and will now take on Fairmont St. on Thursday evening to wrap up their spring trip before heading home.

    HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Endicott men’s tennis team competed against FDU-Florham on Tuesday evening for day two of the Spring Tennis Fest in Hilton Head Island, S.C. The Gulls soared to an 8-1 victory highlighted by a shutout singles match by freshman Christopher Kirkpatrick (Newburyport, Mass.). Endicott improves to 3-2 while the Blue Devils fall to 1-3. The Gulls will hit the courts again tomorrow as they face Ramapo for a noon start time.
  • Gulls Cruise Through Day One of Spring Tennis Fest with 9-0 Victory Over Thomas

    HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Endicott men’s tennis team traveled down to Hilton Head Island for spring break to compete in the Spring Tennis Fest. The Gulls opened up the week strong as they took down regional opponent, Thomas 9-0 on Monday afternoon. Endicott improves to 2-2 while the Terriers drop their season opener at 0-1.
  • Men's Tennis Selected to Finish Third in CCC Coaches' Poll

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott men’s tennis team has been selected to finish third in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Preseason Coaches’ Poll with their 64 points and one first place vote. The reigning CCC Champions, Nichols was selected as the favorite with 80 points and eight first place votes while Roger Williams was chosen to finish second with 69 total votes. Voting for the poll was conducted by the head men’s tennis coaches’ in the conference.
  • Endicott Tripped Up by Colby-Sawyer 7-2 at Home

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men’s tennis suffered a 7-2 loss at home to non-conference foe Colby-Sawyer on Tuesday afternoon in their third of four fall schedule matches. The Chargers took two out of three doubles matches to take an early 2-1 advantage and proceeded to win five of six singles matches en route to the lopsided win.
  • Endicott Swept by Division II Stonehill on the Road

    EASTON, Mass. - In their second match of the fall schedule, the Endicott men's tennis team took on NCAA Division II opponent Stonehill on Saturday and lost 9-0 to the Skyhawks to see their season record fall to an even 1-1.
  • Men's Tennis Season Opens with 7-2 Win over Springfield

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men’s tennis team opened their 2014-15 season with a 7-2 win over NEWMAC opponent Springfield on Monday afternoon by taking a 2-1 lead after doubles play and converting the first three singles matches into points to secure the team victory. The Gulls lineup featured a few new faces including freshmen Chris Kirkpatrick (Newburyport, Mass.) and Nicholas Eherts (New Milford, Conn.) as well as junior Eric Pierce (Barrington, R.I.) who all secured singles wins.
