Cotter, Scoba and Weber Named to 2015 NEILA Academic All-New England Team

NEWTON, Mass.-  Adding to the success of the program off the field as well, Endicott men's lacrosse seniors Harrison Cotter (Lordship, Conn.), Sam Scoba (Franklin, Mass.) and Kyle Weber (West Hartford, Conn.) were named to the 2015 NEILA Academic All-New England Team on Thursday.  To be recognized, student-athletes must be in their final year of eligibility, have posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, be a significant enough contributor on the field and be nominated for conference or regional recognition.  The three student-athletes and the rest of the roster travel to Cortland, N.Y. for their NCAA DIII Tournament Second Round game against Cortland State on Saturday following Endicott's 12-6 win over Colorado College in the First Round.

Cotter, a Business Administration major with a Marketing focus, boasts a 3.00 GPA in the classroom while being an integral part of the Endicott midfield.  The senior has tallied 52 points to date, good for fourth on the team, while scoring 32 goals and registering 20 assists.  His 32 goals are good for fifth on the roster while his 20 assists are third.  For his career, Cotter has 125 goals and 58 assists for a total of 183 points to go with 168 ground balls and 31 caused turnovers. 

Scoba, a Business major with a concentration in Entrepreneurship, owns a 3.29 GPA as one of the team's top defensive midfielders.  Having played in all 19 games on the season, Scoba has notched two goals and an assist for three points while collecting 30 ground balls and causing eight turnovers.  For his two years dawning the Blue and Green, Scoba has totaled 11 goals and three assists for 14 points while gathering 44 ground balls and eight caused turnovers.

Weber, a Sport Management major who possesses a 3.01 GPA, leads an Endicott attack that ranks fourth in all of NCAA DIII through May 3rd.  A four-year starter, Weber currently leads the team with 59 goals and is third on the team in points with 78 as he has also chipped in eight assists.  For his career, Weber has scored 150 goals, good for sixth in Endicott history, to go with 39 assists and 189 total points while picking up 140 ground balls and causing 28 turnovers.  

Cotter, Scoba, Weber and the rest of the roster travel to Cortland, N.Y. for their NCAA DIII Tournament Second Round game against Cortland State on Saturday following Endicott's 12-6 win over Colorado College in the First Round.  Cortland State advanced after defeating Springfield 9-8 in their First Round matchup.
