NCAA Selection Show Reveals Colorado College as Endicott First Round Opponent

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 2015 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Selection Show revealed on Sunday evening that the Endicott men's lacrosse, automatic qualifiers out of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), will host their NCAA First Round matchup against Colorado College on Wednesday, May 6th. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m. 

Endicott (15-3) will be hosting a NCAA First Round game for the fourth time in program history and for the third time in five years after capturing their eighth CCC Championship on Saturday, owning a top-10 national ranking for the majority of the 2015 season, and most recently earning a spot in the top-five of the NCAA regional polls. The Gulls, the nation's fourth-ranking scoring offense (16.0) enter their Wednesday NCAA postseason game on a five-game win streak and with 10 victories in their last 11 contests.

Colorado College (12-3), a NCAA Division III independent school, is making their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last five years after earning one of the nine at-large selections into the 32-team field. In their 2014 tournament appearance, the Tigers lost 13-10 to Amherst on the road.

Endicott and Colorado College have previously met twice in the 2000 and 2002 seasons with the Gulls losing both contests. In 2000, Colorado College won 16-8 and in 2002, the Tigers won 14-4 over Endicott.

The winner of Wednesday's first round game will take on the winner of #11 Cortland State (14-4) and Springfield (11-7) in the NCAA Second Round on Saturday, May 9th. On Wednesday, May 13th, the NCAA Quarterfinals take place with a likely showdown with #1 RIT (18-0). Following the NCAA Semifinals on Sunday, May 17th, the finalists will face off at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, May 24th at 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday's NCAA First Round game will be available via live statistics and video on www.ECGulls.com. Ticket prices at Endicott Stadium are set at $3 for adults, $2 for students and seniors, and free of charge to Endicott College students with their ID.
