11-Point Week for Pinciaro Garners CCC Offensive Player of the Week

CCC Athletes of the Week – Week Ending April 5th

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – For the third time in his senior season, Endicott attacker Nick Pinciaro (Beverly, Mass.) has been named CCC Offensive Player of the Week after leading the 11th-ranked Gulls to a pair of convincing wins last week. Pinciaro amassed 11 points via nine goals and two assists as he continues pace for a career season statistically.

After scoring 17-5 and 16-3 wins over Wentworth and Bowdoin, respectively, Endicott (8-2, 3-0 CCC) continues their conference schedule starting with the University of New England on Wednesday, April 8th. The Gulls and Nor'easters face off at 7:00 p.m. in Biddeford, Maine.

Four of Pinciaro's goals came with the man-advantage as Endicott as a team went 8-for-11 after opponent penalties. Pinciaro converted .562 percent of his shot attempts into goals and fired 12 of his 16 shots on goal in general.

Against Wentworth, Pinciaro scored two of Endicott's first three goals of the first quarter, both off assists from sophomore attacker Will Jennings (Danvers, Mass.), and finished with five points in the opening half alone as he added a man-up goal and assists on two Jennings goal. Endicott held a 9-3 lead at halftime and pushed their lead up even further in the second half thanks to two more Pinciaro goals in the fourth quarter.

Over the weekend at NESCAC foe Bowdoin, Endicott scored the first 14 goals of the game before the Polar Bears got on the board with six minutes remaining in the fourth. Pinciaro scored twice in both the first and second halves with a man-goal in the second and third quarters, respectively.

Pinciaro is now tied with sophomore attacker Colin Bannon (Westport, Conn.) for the team lead with 45 points. He has tied his career-high with 33 goals while distributing 12 assists on the year.
