BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team took a step forward in both the regional and national polls this week, rising to #2 in the NEILA ranking and breaking into the top-10 at #9 in the USILA Coaches' Poll. Endicott is currently 2-0 (1-0 CCC) and will face two challenging non-conference opponents in Connecticut College (0-1) and Springfield (2-1) at home this week.

Endicott's lone game last week came in their 2015 home and CCC opener against Roger Williams in which CCC Defensive Player of the Week Cameron Bell (Falmouth, Maine) had 16 saves, defenseman Ben Katzen (Blauvelt, N.Y.) caused five turnovers, and senior attackers Nick Pinciaro (Beverly, Mass.) and Kyle Weber (West Hartford, Conn.) each recorded four points apiece in a 13-5 Gulls victory.

In this week's USILA DIII Coaches' Poll, Tufts moved into the top spot after winning their season opener over Middlebury which sent #2 RIT back one spot despite a 2-0 week. Endicott's opponent on Tuesday, March 7th is #3 Lynchburg who took down #7 Cabrini 10-9 to slide up three spots in the national poll.

Endicott received a total of 229 points to get into the #9 position, only four points behind #8 Cortland (0-1) who lost their 2015 opener versus #4 Union by one goal.

In the regional rankings, Endicott jumped over Amherst (1-0) into the second position behind Tufts. Western New England (#8) and Roger Williams (#9) also represent the CCC in the NEILA Week Two Regional Poll.
