  • Field Hockey Team and 15 Gulls Recognized by the NFHCA for Academic Awards

    CHANDLER, Ariz. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) released their annual Division III National Academic Squad. 15 members of the field hockey team along with the team as a whole have been honored for their hard work in the classroom.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced their Fall 2013 Academic All-Conference Team and Endicott was the leader of the pack with 54 honorees across seven first semester sports that included men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s tennis, and women’s volleyball.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Endicott College senior field hockey midfielder Stacie Teevens can be described as not only the ideal Division III student-athlete, but a true embodiment of the three NCAA Division III ideals: "Discover, Develop, Dedicate." Division III student-athletes are encouraged to pursue interests beyond their sport and discover their passions that will lead them to a successful career. In doing this, they are able to develop themselves as strong members of the community and become well-rounded individuals. Finally, after doing all of this, they are dedicated to their sport while still facing the same challenges as the rest of the student body. The midfielder from Westborough, Mass. has managed to accomplish all three by succeeding in the classroom, excelling as a leader in her sport and serving as an ambassador in the local and global communities.
  • Gulls Season Comes To A Close In A Tough Loss To Gordon

    WENHAM, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team traveled to cross-town rival Gordon on Wednesday night for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) semifinal match. The Gulls were the #3 seed entering the contest while the Fighting Scots earned the #2 seed. Junior Alyssa Clark (Gorham, Maine) scored the lone goal for Endicott but it was not enough as they took the 1-2 loss to finish their 2013 season.
  • Field Hockey All-CCC Teams Announced, Five Gulls Earn A Spot

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) named the 2013 All-CCC Field Hockey Team. The Endicott field hockey team saw five members earn a spot on the All-CCC teams as it was announced today by the league commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. The Gulls finished their regular season at 9-10, (6-6 CCC) while earning the #3 seed in the upcoming CCC Tournament.

    The NCAA will host more than 350 student-athletes, who were identified as leaders on their campuses, and 125 athletics professionals from the northeast region of the United States during the annual NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum, Nov. 7-10, in Providence, R.I.
  • O’Halloran Nabs First CCC Honor Of The Season

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior co-captain Emily O’Halloran (Cheshire, Conn.) has been recognized by the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) for her efforts in the field hockey teams 1-1 week. The senior has been awarded this week’s Defensive Player of the Week honor, and marks her first for the 2013 season.
  • Field Hockey Seeded Third in CCC Tournament

    Springfield, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team will take their 9-10, (6-6 CCC) record into the CCC Tournament as the #3 seed as the Gulls will travel across town to face #2 Gordon (15-5, 10-2 CCC)on Wednesday, November 6th for the semifinal round at 4:00 p.m.
  • Gulls Claim A Spot In CCC Playoffs With A 7-1 Victory On Senior Day Over WNE

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team hosted Western New England in their last regular season match on Saturday afternoon. The Gulls also used the contest as a day to recognize their six graduating seniors. Senior Amanda Glynn (Hampton, N.H.) tallied the lone goal for the senior class but the victory was all they needed as they were victorious over the Golden Bears 7-1 to earn themselves a place in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) playoffs. Endicott finishes the regular season at 9-10, (6-6 CCC) while WNE ends their season at 2-10, (3-15 CCC).
  • Solarik Earns First ECAC Honor

    CENTERVILLE, Mass. – The Eastern Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced Thursday that senior goalkeeper Lizetta Solarik (Carmel, N.Y.) was named the Corvias ECAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week. The senior was recently named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) defensive player of the week on Monday and today marks her first ECAC honor and a first for the field hockey team this season.
  • Gulls Fall To UNE, After Two Late Goals

    BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Endicott field hockey team traveled to the University of New England on Wednesday night for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup. Senior Amanda Glynn (Hampton, N.H.) and junior Emily Sawchuck (Cumberland, Maine) each tallied first half goals but they were not enough as UNE scored two goals in the final ten minutes to take the 3-2 win.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior goalkeeper Lizetta Solarik (Carmel, N.Y.) and junior Emily Sawchuck (Cumberland, Maine) earned weekly honors with the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC). Solarik claimed her third Defensive Player of the Week nod while Sawchuck is claiming her second Offensive Player of the Week honor. The Gulls went 1-1 this past week beating Salve Regina 4-2 and losing to Gordon 3-2 OT.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team hosted a community youth day this past weekend following their victory over Salve Regina. Coach Cipolla and the rest of the team had a group of 30 young field hockey players come in to learn and interact with the team.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team played host to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Salve Regina on Saturday afternoon. Senior Amanda Glynn (Hampton, N.H.) tallied two goals in the 4-2 decision over the Seahawks. Endicott now stands at 8-9, (5-5 CCC) while Salve Regina falls to 7-9, (5-5 CCC).
  • Gulls Fall In Overtime 3-2, Sawchuck Nets Two

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team hosted cross town rival Gordon for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup. Junior Emily Sawchuck (Cumberland, Maine) tallied two goals for the Blue and Green, but they were not enough as Gordon’s junior Karli Balmer (Perkasie, Pa.) tallied the game winner in overtime in the 3-2 decision. Endicott now moves to 7-9, (4-5 CCC) while the Fighting Scots move to 13-4, (8-2 CCC).

    DUDLEY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team traveled to Nichols on Saturday afternoon for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup. Junior Emily Sawchuck (Cumberland, Maine) scored the lone goal for the Gulls, but it was not enough as they fell to the Bison 2-1. Endicott moves to 7-8, (4-4 CCC) while the Bison stand at 5-10, (5-4 CCC).
  • Gulls Top The Hawks 6-2, Sawchuck Scores Twice

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team hosted CCC opponent Roger Williams on Wednesday afternoon. Five different Gulls scored in the contest, while junior Emily Sawchuck (Cumberland, Maine) tallied two for a final score of 6-2. Endicott moves to .500 at a 7-7, (4-3 CCC) while the Hawks fall to 3-10, (0-8 CCC).
  • Clark Earns CCC Weekly Honors

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior defender Alyssa Clark (Gorham, Maine) earned her first weekly honor with the CCC this week. Clark earned Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts against CCC opponent Western New England in a 6-1 victory this past weekend which moved the Gulls to 3-3 in conference play.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team traveled to Western New England on Saturday afternoon for a CCC matchup. Six different Gulls scored in the 6-1 victory as Endicott moves to 6-7, (3-3 CCC) while the Golden Bears fall to 2-11, (1-6 CCC).

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team hosted conference rival University of New England on Saturday for a homecoming matchup on North Field. Co-captains, senior Stacie Teevens (Westborough, Mass.) and junior Meghan Leary (Hampton Falls, N.H.) each recorded their first goals of the season. Despite their efforts the Gulls fell to the Nor’easters 5-2. Endicott now stands at 6-6, (2-3 CCC) while their opponents move to 5-5, (5-0 CCC).
  • Gulls Fall To Seahawks On The Road

    MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The Endicott field hockey team traveled to Salve Regina on Wednesday night for a CCC matchup under the lights. Despite the efforts from the Blue and Green, the Seahawks came out with the win 1-0. The Gulls move to 5-6, (2-2 CCC) while Salve improves to 4-5, (3-1 CCC).
  • Solarik And Tansey Earn CCC Weekly Honors For Defensive Efforts

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior goalkeeper Lizetta Solarik (Carmel, N.Y.) and Sophomore Siena Tansey (West Springfield, Mass.) earned weekly honors with the CCC. Solarik claimed her second Defensive Player of the Week honor while Tansey earned her first honor as Rookie of the Week. The Gulls went 1-2 on the week beating Roger Williams 7-0, and losing to No.17 MIT as well as Gordon.
  • Gulls Suffer First Conference Loss to the Fighting Scots

    WENHAM, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team traveled across town for an early day matchup against the Fighting Scots of Gordon College. Junior Courtney Scott (Herndon, Pa.) scored twice for the Scots to lift over the Gulls 3-0 for the first time since 2007. Endicott sits at 5-5, (2-1 CCC) while the Scots move to 8-2, (3-1 CCC).
  • Sawchuck Tallies Two in Loss to No.17 MIT

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team hosted No.17 MIT on Thursday night for a non-conference matchup. Junior Emily Sawchuck (Cumberland, Maine) netted two goals in the contest but they were not enough as the Gulls fell to the Engineers 4-2. Endicott moves to 5-4, (2-0 CCC) while their counterparts stand at 8-0, (1-0 NEWMAC).
  • Four Gulls Score in 7-0 Victory Over Roger Williams

    BRISTOL, R.I. – The Endicott field hockey team traveled to Roger Williams on Tuesday night for a CCC matchup. Tonight marked the first time the two squads have met as Endicott topped the Hawks 7-0. Three different Gulls scored twice while eight Gulls tallied points on the evening. Endicott now moves to 5-3, (2-0 CCC) while the Hawks fall to 2-4, (0-3 CCC).
  • Hurst's Clutch Performances Net CCC Weekly Honors

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Following a 2-0 week that saw the Gulls win on the road and on their home field, Mackenzie Hurst (Gilford, N.H.) was named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week. Endicott was able to defeat Westfield St. on the road 1-0 before defending the nest to knock off bitter rival Nichols 3-2 in overtime.
  • Gulls Soar Over Nichols in OT Thriller

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team played host to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Nichols College on Saturday afternoon. Despite being down by two goals at the half the Gulls rallied together and came back to win with a final of 3-2OT. Junior Mackenzie Hurst (Gilford, N.H.) scored the winning goal for the Blue and Green off a penalty stroke three minutes into extra time. The Gulls now stand at 4-3 (1-0 CCC), while their opponents fall to 1-6 (1-1 CCC).
  • Endicott Field Hockey Gets National Recognition

    BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott field hockey team generated great achievements in 2012. Those achievements and the dedication of the student-athletes and coaching staff have been recognized on the national platform. The Association for the Protection of Collegiate Athletes (APCA) has released their 2012 Ranking Report for Division III Field Hockey. The report compares all the schools in each NCAA Division and ranks each against their peers based on athletic success, academic progress and the treatment of players.
