Hurst's Clutch Performances Net CCC Weekly Honors

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.-  Following a 2-0 week that saw the Gulls win on the road and on their home field, Mackenzie Hurst (Gilford, N.H.) was named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week.  Endicott was able to defeat Westfield St. on the road 1-0 before defending the nest to knock off bitter rival Nichols 3-2 in overtime.

Hurst, a forward, helped lead the Gulls to victory earlier in the week over the Owls of Westfield.  The junior assisted on the lone goal for the Gulls in a 1-0 win.  Keeping her late game performance going, Hurst scored the game-winning goal off a penalty stroke to help Endicott earn the 3-2 win in the conference victory over Nichols.  This is the second Offensive Player of the Week award for Hurst who now leads the Gulls in goals with five on the season as well as points with 11.

The team returns to action tomorrow night as they make the trip to Bristol, R.I. to take on the Hawks of Roger Williams at 7:00 p.m.  The Gulls then return to the nest to take on MIT in tough non-conference play on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
