Plymouth, NH-- The Endicott Gulls lost to the Plymouth State Panthers in a hard fought match. The winning doubles team of Eulalia Zukas and Jessica Kalafatis had an exciting head to head match going to 8-8 and winning the tiebreaker (7-2).

The Gulls were competitive in several other matches especially the doubles team of Carli Conners and Nicole Leveille. The match was neck and neck and the two were up 8-7 serving for the match but got broken, forcing the match into a tiebreaker. The Gulls lost the tiebreaker (5-7), but it was close up until the final 2 points.

Another very close match was between freshman Nicole Leveille against her high school teammate Jill Deyermond. The first set was very close and went to 6-6, Nicole lost the tiebreaker (5-7), but not without a hard fight. The second set was also close but as the sun was setting and the courts became wet, due to rain, Nicole succumbed at 4-6.

The Gulls play Wentworth Institute on Saturday October 2, at Wentworth. The match begins a 12:00pm.
