Sean McAndrews Earns ITA Scholar-Athlete Honors

2017 ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE LIST

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott men's tennis recent graduate Sean McAndrews (Vineyard Haven, Mass.) has earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete honors for his efforts on the court and in the classroom.

In order to claim ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman through senior year).

"What a great achievement for Sean in his last year as a member of the program and the school," said Endicott men's tennis head coach Jeremy Howard. "His hard work on and off the court over his four years with the program has culminated with this award."

Over the course of his career academically, McAndrews collected three Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Academic All-Conference honors in addition to today's ITA Scholar-Athlete award. He is only one of two student-athletes in program history to complete the feat since eligibility for the award begins during sophomore year. On the court, McAndrews posted 29 singles wins and 30 doubles wins.
