Men’s Rugby Captures CCRC 7s Championship

SMITHFIELD, R.I. — The Endicott men's rugby team won the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC) 7s Championship in dominant fashion outscoring its opponents 202-14 on Sunday.

In pool play, Endicott defeated Bridgewater State (42-14) and Johnson & Wales (45-0).

The Gulls bested Wentworth, 52-0, in the semifinals, and later defeated Salve Regina, 63-0, in the championship match.

For his overall effort of dominance on offense and defense, Lyndon Silver (Danvers, Mass.) was named the Gull Player of the Tournament.

Kyle Ernest (Severna Park, Md.) also notched the Tackle of the Tournament.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott will compete in the URI 7s Tournament on Saturday, April 20.
