Peter Erickson to Represent Endicott at NEILA East-West Senior All Star Game

2014 NEILA East-West Senior All Star Rosters

NEWTON, Mass. – Endicott's graduate student midfielder and the CCC's Short-Stick Specialist of the Year Peter Erickson (Yarmouth, Maine) will compete at the 2014 NEILA East-West Senior All Star Game as the lone representative from the Gulls men's lacrosse program. The game will be held on Friday, May 30th at Springfield College with two 25-man teams competing from across all divisions of New England lacrosse.

Erickson is one of six student-athletes from CCC institutions that are on the East Team roster, coached by Brian Tilley (Hartford), Billy McNamara (Roger Williams), and Max Silberlicht (Bowdoin). Erickson will play alongside four players from the NCAA Division III Championship winning Tufts Jumbos team as well as Division I talent from Bryant, Hartford, Providence, and UMass Amherst and Division II teams Merrimack, Saint Anselm, and Franklin Pierce.

Erickson was the lone captain for an Endicott men's lacrosse squad that went 15-5 (8-0 CCC) this season and earned the program's first ever at-large bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament. After winning a First Round home game 13-10 over Keene State, the Gulls advanced into the Second Round to take on eventual NCAA champion Tufts on the road. Endicott nearly upset the Jumbos with a narrow 10-9 loss which would have sent the Blue and Green into their first NCAA Quarterfinal appearance in program history.

Individually, Erickson caused 12 turnovers and scooped 29 ground balls as one of the region's top defensive midfielders while contributing offensively with nine goals and 10 assists. He came up with two caused turnovers in Endicott's NCAA First Round win over Keene State while recording an assist against Tufts in the Second Round.

The NEILA East-West Senior All Star Game starts at 5:00 pm on Friday, May 30th at Springfield College with a 6:45 pm barbeque for players and their families.
