SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Endicott men's lacrosse freshman goalie Cameron Bell (Falmouth, Maine) registered a win in his second straight start in the cage this past week, helping the Gulls to an exciting 9-8 home opener victory over Skidmore, and for his efforts the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) named him Rookie of the Week.
Bell's recorded 10 saves, including three over the final 12:21 of the fourth quarter to help Endicott erase a two-goal deficit to the Throroughbreds. He also had two groundballs. The freshman now has a 2-0 record on the season with a 5.5 goals against average, a .667 save percentage, and 22 saves overall.
Endicott (2-1, 1-0 CCC) hosts Eastern Connecticut on Monday night at 6:00 pm before traveling to the Flower City Cup in Rochester, New York to take on St. John Fisher and Rochester.
