Men’s Ice Hockey Doubles Up Suffolk, 6-3

CHARLESTOWN, Mass. – The Endicott men's ice hockey team turned in a 6-3 road victory over Suffolk University on Wednesday night at Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink.

With the win, Endicott (11-6-2, 7-2-1 ECAC Northeast) now sits in second place ahead of Suffolk (11-5-2, 6-2-2 ECAC Northeast) in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Northeast standings.

Endicott held a 2-0 advantage after one period of action as Parker Wood (Rochester Hills, Mich.) registered his third career multi-goal game with tallies at 12:09 and 19:48 (power play), respectively.

Suffolk freshman forward Connor Parent (Danvers, Mass.) responded for the Rams just 3:20 into the second with his fifth goal of the season, but the Gulls answered with three straight goals to put the game away.

Joseph Kaszupski (Henderson, Nev.) buried his third goal of the year at 15:21 of the second, while Shamus Maloney (North Attleboro, Mass.) and Carter Horwitz (Tustin, Calif.) found the back of the net at 3:18 and 15:43 of the third to produce a 5-1 lead on the scoreboard.

After the Rams looked to mount a comeback with goals at 17:52 and 19:04, Endicott captain Connor Costello (Nottingham, N.H.) netted his first career goal (empty net) off a feed from John Carricato (Ridge, N.Y.) with one second to play to lock up the contest.

  • Endicott freshman goaltender Kevin Aldridge (Beverly Hills, Mich.) stopped 28 shots in the win (11-6-2).
  • Aldridge leads the ECAC Northeast with 595 saves this season (second closest, 506).
  • The Gulls are 7-1-1 this season on the road.
  • Endicott leads the all-time series against Suffolk, 1-0-1.
