Professional Aspirations

Interned in a sixth-grade classroom during my winter break of 2018. The internship was in my hometown of Kingston, Mass. at the Kingston Intermediate School. During my three week internship, I was able to work with many students in large and small group settings, teach my own math lesson, and observe my internship advisor interact in many different settings of a teacher's lifestyle. Although I worked in the same Intermediate school I had attended, the school had transformed into something completely new and it was amazing to experience how much the school has grown... In 10 years I hope I am teaching in or near my hometown. I also see myself owning two dogs.

Anna on the impact her internship with the Kingston Intermediate School had on her:

"I was fortunate to have worked with a student who came from a low-income family background but never let anything get them down. This student was a bundle of joy inside and out who came from a hard home life. This internship experience helped me determine my career goals because it helped me reassure that becoming an elementary school teacher is the right path for me. Watching a student come from virtually nothing and still could only see the positives life had to offer every day was extremely humbling."

Clubs and Organizations

Played for HTC Field Hockey.

Community Service

I was lucky enough to have participated in Habitat for Humanity with my teammates last August and we spent the day building a brand new house for a family... Father Bills Feeding The Homeless, Yawkey Family Inn, Children's Hospital, and Toys For Tots Christmas Donations.

Fun Facts

Cousin Julia Todd played Division I field hockey and lacrosse at Villanova University and her cousin Chris played Division II lacrosse at Bentley Universty.
