No. 19/20 Football Upends Nichols, 48-0

DUDLEY, Mass. — The No. 19/20 nationally ranked Endicott football team defeated Nichols, 48-0, in conference action on Saturday afternoon at Vendetti Field.

Kennedy Charles (Portland, Maine), Michael LeFebre (Methuen, Mass.), Michael Vecchione (Chelmsford, Mass.), Clayton Marengi (Lynnfield, Mass.), Anthony Caggianelli (Pelham, N.H.), Markys Bridgewater (Lawrence, Mass.), and Michael O'Brien (Guilford, Conn.) all scored in the victory.

Highlighting the Gulls' scoring efforts were Charles (42-yard rush, first career TD, 7-0), LeFebre (second career pick-6, 14-0), and O'Brien (6-yard rush, first career TD, 48-0).

Defensively, Endicott held the Bison to season-lows in rushing yards (75), passing yards (59), and total offense (134).

The Gulls' defensive unit only allowed Nichols to cross into negative territory on one drive in the entire contest and stymied the hosts to a 1-for-13 showing on third downs (8% conversion rate).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott improved to 18-2 all-time against Nichols.
  • The Gulls have won 15 consecutive meetings versus the Bison.
  • LeFebre finished with three tackles (1 solo, 2 assisted), his second career pick-6, and one pass breakup.
  • Joe Tirrell (Franklin, Mass.) and Hector Johnson (Worcester, Mass.) tied for the team-high in tackles with six each (1 solo, 5 assisted | 6 assisted).
  • Produced the fifth-most rushing yards (392, season-best) in program history.
  • Six rushing touchdowns tied the single-game program record.

No. 19/20 Endicott (6-1, 2-0 CCC) visits Husson on Saturday, October 28 at 12 PM. Nichols (3-4, 0-2 CCC) travels to Curry next Saturday at 12 PM.
