BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman free safety Allen Gibson (Seymour, Conn.) has been named the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Defensive Rookie of the Week for his performance last Saturday against No. 21 nationally ranked Western New England University (WNEU).

Teammates Johari Johnson (Rockville, Md.), Jacob Simons (Barrington, R.I.), and Thomas Johnson (Pembroke, Mass.) also were placed on the NEFC Weekly Honor Roll for their performances versus WNEU.

NEFC DEFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Gibson aided Endicott's defense last weekend in a close 19-13 loss to the Golden Bears with five tackles (two solo, three assisted) to earn his second consecutive NEFC Defensive Rookie of the Week award.

Gibson claimed his first career NEFC weekly honor a few weeks ago against Maine Maritime by compiling a career-high six tackles (five solo, one assisted) in Endicott's 37-14 win over the Mariners.
