2021 NEEC RESULTS

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Endicott freshman rider Sophia Channell (Vergennes, Vt.) placed seventh overall out of 110 riders at the 46th annual New England Equitation Championships (NEEC), which was hosted at the Big E (Eastern States Exposition) from October 20-24.

Channell competed in the NEEC Horsemanship Test at the championships and clearly shined, as previously mentioned finishing seventh overall out of 110 riders.

As part of the NEEC Horsemanship Test, Channell completed a 20 minute written practicum and ranked within the top-13 of riders who were asked to complete it.

Due to the results, Channell then rode a horse in front of a panel of judges which included a veterinarian.

The panel asked Channell several questions about the health and care of horses in addition to judging her ride.
