Equestrian Finishes Fifth At Stonehill Show

STONEHAM, Mass. — The Endicott equestrian team placed fifth overall out of 10 teams at the Stonehill Show on Sunday evening.

Abigail Goldberg (Framingham, Mass.) and Helen Barrow (Swanton, Vt.) stood out for the Gulls as both student-athletes qualified for Regionals in limit fences (first) and intermediate flat (second), respectively.

Goldberg also claimed Reserve High Point Rider honors behind her first place finishes in limit fences and open flat.

TOP QUOTE

"We had another great show day, with eight of our 13 rides bringing home top two ribbons! It was a competitive show and we finished in fifth, only four points behind the top team," said Endicott equestrian head coach Megan Martin. "Our riders are always complimented on their horsemanship, and today was no different, as they handled a couple of nervous horses with a lot of maturity. They are such a strong and supportive group of students, and days like today I'm extra proud to be their coach!"
