NATIONAL CHAMPS! Dance Program Captures UDA Open Game Day Title

UDA RESULTS

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Endicott College dance team won its fourth national title in program history this weekend with a first place finish in Open Game Day at the 2024 Universal Dance Association (UDA) National Championships.

Endicott produced a score of 89.9167 points (zero deductions) in Open Game Day finals, dominating the rest of the field by more than 2.00 points (Minnesota State University, Mankato, 2nd, 87.5667).

The victory marked the Gulls' second national title in the Open Game Day (2021) discipline and fourth overall (Open Pom, 2020-21) — the most among any club program at Endicott.

The Gulls also finished second overall in Open Pom and sixth in Open Jazz.

"Being proud of this group is an understatement. This team is the toughest, most hard-working group we have ever coached," said Endicott dance head coach Nicole Sao Pedro-Welch M'12. "Being in the intensity day after day, their commitment, passion, and drive never wavered. Our successes are due to their pride for Endicott, love for each other, and for this sport. They are one of a kind. We are so happy to be bringing home another national title for the Gulls!"
