BEVERLY, Mass. – A league record 165 Endicott College student-athletes were named to the Conference of New England (CNE) Fall Academic All-Conference Team earlier this week.
The 2024 CNE Fall Academic All-Conference list includes the following sports: men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's golf, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis, and women's volleyball.
ENDICOTT HIGHLIGHTS
- Men's cross country (12), women's cross country (12), field hockey (21), football (51), men's soccer (20), women's soccer (22), and women's volleyball (15) led all other league members in their respective sports
- Men's golf (5) and women's tennis (7) tied for the league lead in each of their sports
- The Gulls were the only school in the conference to have 100-plus honorees
- Today's announcement marks the second straight season Endicott has broken the league record
- Last fall, 148 Gulls were honored by the Conference
AWARD CRITERIA/INFORMATION
In January and June each academic year, the CNE recognizes an Academic All-Conference Team. Each member institution is responsible for determining its qualified student-athletes.
Criteria for recognition: at least sophomore status athletically and academically with one academic year in residence at their current institution; hold a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale; active member of a roster for a Conference-sponsored sport.
Graduate transfers, regardless of enrollment at their current institution, are eligible. First years, freshmen and undergraduate transfers in their first semester at their current institution are not eligible.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE OF NEW ENGLAND (CNE)
Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 10 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region.
Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The Conference administers championships in 20 intercollegiate sports.
