2020-21 Endicott Athletics & Recreation Department Awards Announced

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott Athletics & Recreation Department has announced the following award winners for the 2020-21 academic year.

Student-Athlete Of The Year Award

Award Description: Individuals who embody the essence of an NCAA Division III student-athlete; balancing athletic achievement, academic achievement, campus participation, and community service in addition to the Endicott Athletics & Recreation Department's four core standards (commitment, character, effective communication, confidence.

Female Student-Athlete of the Year: Jaylin Grabau (Lynnfield, Mass.), Field Hockey
Male Student-Athlete of the Year: Dylan Bonfilio (Burlington, Mass.), Football
Female Club Student-Athlete of the Year: Amanda Wisbeck (Hong Kong, China), Women's Rugby
Male Club Student-Athlete of the Year: Jaeger Nedde (Colchester, Vt.), Men's Rugby


David H. Cammett Award

Award Description: The David H. Cammett Award recognizes an individual in the Endicott Community that embodies the essence of supporting our student-athletes. David Cammett was a pillar during the early developmental stages of Endicott athletics where he would be at almost every game; cheering on our student-athletes. He was quick to point out if a student-athlete was not carrying themselves the right way, and he would never mince his words in his criticisms. And though his compliments were not heard as often as his criticisms, when a student did hear a compliment, they would cherish it.

David H. Cammett Award: James T. Daley, Assistant Athletic Director/Athletic Performance/Health Care Administrator


The Endicott Athletics & Recreation Department would also like to recognize this year's Class of 2021 Senior Award winners, which were announced by the College and celebrated in person on May 12.

The Class of 2021 Senior Awards ceremony is designed to celebrate the graduating class and influential faculty of the year prior to their formal commencement. This year's commencement will take place on Saturday, May 22.

Scholar-Athlete Award

Award Description: The Scholar-Athlete Awards recognize one male and one female graduating senior student-athlete who has earned and demonstrated the highest rating on the combined factors of academic and varsity achievement.

Female Scholar-Athlete: Adrianna Favreau (Tewksbury, Mass.), Softball
Male Scholar-Athlete: Matt McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine), Men's Basketball


Deans Awards

Award Description: The Deans Awards are given to students who have excelled academically and have engaged in the school/department and/or major by participating beyond the classroom experience. The Deans Award recipients are leaders in their discipline and offer inspiration to others in their major, department, and school.

School of Arts & Sciences: Alexa Brown (Belchertown, Mass.), Dance
School of Arts & Sciences: Pierce Klein (Milford, Conn.), Football
School of Visual & Performing Arts: Jaymie Caponigro (Swampscott, Mass.), Women's Soccer


Thesis Awards

Award Description: The Thesis Awards are given to the top projects who are exemplary in five elements: a) identifying and framing the problem or central idea, b) thorough exploration and elucidation by documentation c) clear and executable strategy using techniques, d) executes the strategy appropriate to the discipline e) and presentation of original work in a professional manner befitting the field.

School of Arts & Sciences: Cailin Cleary (Massapequa, N.Y.), Softball
School of Education: Sabrina Tosto (North Attleboro, Mass.), Women's Track and Field


Campus Leadership Awards

Award Description: The Campus Leadership Awards recognize graduating students for their contributions beyond the classroom in areas of leadership, activities, community service, volunteerism, military training achievements, and cross-cultural appreciation and understanding. These students have distinguished themselves by not only leading but also inspiring others to lead.

Campus Leadership Award: Crista Alfano (Bow, N.H.), Women's Rugby
Campus Leadership Award: Emily Licciardi (Haverhill, Mass.), Women's Tennis


Class of 2021 Mingotide Yearbook Dedication

Award Description: Dedicated to an individual or group for their hard work and dedication to the Endicott Community.
