Women’s Cross Country Shines At Codfish Bowl

BOSTON, Mass. – The Endicott women's cross country team finished third overall out of 12 programs at the Codfish Bowl on Saturday morning at Franklin Park.

No. 27 nationally ranked Tufts won the meet with 40 points, while Yale (53), Endicott (103), Sacred Heart (106), and Gordon (144) rounded out the top-5.

Cailin Lawlor (Wrentham, Mass.) led the Gulls with a 12th place finish and personal best time of 19:24 on the 5-kilometer course.

Gwen Catalano (Buxton, Maine) and Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.) both broke the 20-minute barrier (19th, 19:51 | 21st, 19:55), while Alexa Suchy (Guilford, Conn.) and Sofia Moukaddem (Weston, Mass.) made up the rest of the scoring lineup for the Gulls (24th, 20:08 | 27th, 20:20).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Endicott's top-5 posted a program-best average 5k time of 19:56.
  • The differential for the group was only 56-seconds.
  • The Gulls bested conference opponents Gordon (144) and Hartford (178).
  • Heather McDougall (Portland, Conn.) finished 37th overall with a personal best time of 21:13.
  • Catherine Schultz (North Kingstown, R.I.) produced a personal best time of 22:45.

Endicott returns to action on Saturday, October 14 at the Suffolk Invitational (Franklin Park – Boston, Mass.).
