THREE-PEAT COMPLETE! Women’s Rugby Claims Third Straight CCRC 7s Championship

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's rugby team captured its third straight Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC) 7s Championship on Sunday evening at Hempstead Stadium.

The Gulls rolled through pool play with a 3-0 record taking down UMaine Farmington (32-0), Plymouth State (29-0), and Salve Regina (31-14).

In the championship match, Endicott and Salve Regina clashed again and the result was similar as the Gulls defeated the Seahawks, 27-17, to hoist their third straight CCRC title.

Today's "Match Ball" went to Sarah Corcoran (Westborough, Mass.) for her dedication, leadership, and positivity throughout the season.

Colleen Mitchell (Glastonbury, Conn.) was the top scorer with six tries, while Caitlin Padeck (Easthampton, Mass.) contributed three tries and seven conversions on the day.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott will defend its 7s national title at the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) National Championships from April 25-28.
