CCRC CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 1 Women’s Rugby Downs No. 12 Salve Regina, 46-10

MALDEN, Mass. — The No. 1 nationally ranked Endicott women's rugby team defeated No. 12 Salve Regina, 46-10, in the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC) Championship on Sunday evening at Pine Banks Park.

Tess Merrill (Greenwich, N.Y.) notched three tries and had one conversion to lead the offense.

Colleen Mitchell (Glastonbury, Conn.) also scored once and registered two conversions, while Cai Machuga (Dennis, Mass.), Marin Shaffer (Keene, N.H.), Brooke Stoncius (Litchfield, N.H.), and Bailey Tymeson (Westfield, Mass.) all found the try zone once. 

Ashley McElhinney (Natick, Mass.) rounded out the list of highlights by receiving the game ball for her efforts on offense.

Today's win marked the Gulls' fourth straight CCRC Championship (2023, 2022, 2021, 2019).

WHAT'S NEXT

No. 1 Endicott (6-0) will compete at the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Regionals from November 11-12 in Henniker, New Hampshire on the campus of New England College.
