CORVIAS ECAC SOFTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK ENDING APRIL 24

BEVERLY, Mass. — Senior catcher Emily Hoffman (Malden, Mass.) has been recognized by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) as the Corvias ECAC Division III New England Softball Player of the Week for the week ending April 24, 2016, as announced this week by the conference office.

Hoffman, a first-time recipient of an ECAC accolade, earned her first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week honor this season and first in her career as she had a monster week for the Gulls.

Hoffman helped the Gulls to a 6-2 record on the week with a perfect 4-0 conference ledger as she batted .700 (14-for-20). Hoffman hit safely every game to extend her hit streak to eight games and recorded multiple hits on four occasions as exactly half of her hits went for extra-bases (two doubles, four triples and a home run). She also scored 14 times and had 12 RBIs, while stealing two bases and walking nine times.

Endicott (21-14, 12-4 CCC) earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming CCC Tournament and are back in action on Monday, May 2nd against the winner of No. 3 Salve Regina/(No. 6 Eastern Nazarene/No. 7 Nichols) in Beverly, Mass.
