MILTON, Mass. – The Endicott College men’s soccer team picked up a crucial The Commonwealth Coast Conference victory as the Blue and Green downed Curry College, 2-1, in TCCC action on Saturday night in Milton, Mass. The Gulls improve to 7-7 overall and 6-4 in the TCCC while the Colonels fall to 9-5-1 overall and 5-3 in conference games.

The Gulls jumped out to an early lead as \#Craig Jameson\#’s (Bedford, N.H.) unassisted goal at the 10:38 mark gave Endicott the early 1-0 advantage in the first frame. The Colonels responded nearly four minutes later as Michael Griffin scored on a Devin Sadlers corner kick to knot the score at 1-1 before halftime.

With just over 11-minutes to play, Endicott received the go-ahead goal from \#Kevin Ivester\# (Topsfield, Mass.) who potted a \#Colin Doody\# (Wethersfield, Conn.) feed for a 2-1 lead. The Gulls would hold on through the final minutes to secure a vital 2-1 victory over Curry College.

For the game, the Gulls were outshot at a 24-13 clip while also facing a 4-2 deficit in corner kicks. Endicott’s \#Daniel Higgins\# (Kingstown, R.I.) picked up the victory by making 11 saves while Brian Newsome suffered the setback for the home team despite making eight saves in the loss.

The Blue and Green return to action on Tuesday as the Gulls travel to Henniker, N.H. for a 3:30 p.m. matchup with New England College. The Colonels travel to Wenham, Mass. for a 3:00 p.m. matchup with Gordon College on Tuesday afternoon.
