Box Score

QUINCY, Mass. - The Endicott College Gulls were able to beat the Eastern Nazarene Crusaders 1-0 in TCCC action on Tuesday with a last second goal by senior Kyle Schmutte (Wilbraham, Mass.). The win moves the Gulls to 2-4-1 (2-1-1 TCCC) while the loss drops Eastern Nazarene to 1-6-1 (1-3 TCCC).

For most of the game, the two teams were locked in a possession battle for the football. The Gulls were able to provide more pressure in the second half with long balls into the box to their big players up front. The Gulls were finally able to take the lead as Schmutte was able to take a through ball and put the ball in the back of the net with a mere :28 seconds remaining on the clock.

Freshman goalie Nicholas Allman (Newburyport, Mass.) was able to make two saves on five shots for his third shutout of the season. Crusader goalie Andrew Tice (Quincy, Mass.) faced 21 shots and made seven saves but it would not be enough as Schmutte squeaked the game-winner past the 6'5" keeper.

The Blue and Green look to win another road game when they travel to the campus of UMass-Dartmouth for a non-conference match on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Nazarene takes the pitch again on Saturday when it travels to Western New England College for a TCCC match-up at 11:00 a.m.
