Smith Garners CCC Special Teams Player Of The Week Honors

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott football senior kicker Ryan Smith (Glastonbury, Conn.) was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Smith totaled a season-high 11 points on three field goals (3-3) and two extra points (2-2) in last Saturday's 23-13 road win over Husson.

He started off the scoring for the then-No. 19/19 nationally ranked Gulls in the second quarter, as he nailed back-to-back field goals of 22 and 30 yards, respectively.

In the fourth quarter, he buried a career-long 46-yard field goal to put Endicott up by a two-score margin, 16-7. The career-long mark ended up being the decider in the game, as the Gulls went on to defeat the Eagles 23-13.

Smith also compiled 372 yards on six kickoffs (62.0 average, four touchbacks) in the win.

This marks Smith's fifth career win of the CCC Special Teams Player of the Week Award (9/27/21, 10/4/2021, 11/1/2021, 10/24/22).
