BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 19/19 nationally ranked Endicott football team (6-1, 2-0 CCC) visits Husson (5-2, 1-1 CCC) this Saturday at 12 PM. Here's a preview of this weekend's matchup.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Endicott is 3-1 all-time against Husson (9/30/17, L, 27-8 | 10/26/18, W, 41-16 | 10/16/21, W, 24-17 | 10/1/22, W, 22-0).
- The Eagles are 4-0 at home this season (Norwich, 28-14 | Anna Maria, 50-49 | Dean 75-17 | Curry 28-7).
- Husson junior running back Elijah Garnett (Brooklyn, N.Y.) leads the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in scoring with 92 points (15 rushing TDs, 1 two-point conversion); he's scored four rushing TDs twice this season and has nearly double the amount of points than the rest of his competition
- In terms of yardage allowed, Endicott and Husson rank No. 1 (771 yards, 110.1 average) and No. 2 (943 yards, 134.7 average) in the CCC, defensively.
- Eagles' senior linebacker Tucker Buzzell (Lovell, Maine) ranks second in the league in tackles (73 total, 33 solo — tied first in CCC, 40 assisted).
