  • Kevin DeWall Welcomed as Second Head Coach in Endicott Football History

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Kevin DeWall has been selected as the next head coach of the Endicott football program as it was announced today by Director of Athletics Brian Wylie. DeWall comes to Endicott after spending 19 seasons with Hobart College, four as a player from 1996-99, three as an assistant coach from 2000-02, and the last 12 as the team’s offensive coordinator in which he elevated the program’s national recognition through offensive consistency and productivity, top-level national recruiting, and a focus on academic accountability from his players.
  • JB Wells Bowdoin-Bound after 12-Year Run with Endicott Football

    BEVERLY, Mass. – JB Wells, the only head coach the Endicott football program has known since its inception in 2001 as a junior varsity team, has elected to step down from his post after 12 seasons. Wells brought two New England Football Conference (NEFC) championships and NCAA Tournament appearances to Endicott in 2010 and 2013 as well as back-to-back Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) North Bowl victories in 2011 and 2012 while accumulating a 75-48 (55-26 NEFC) all-time record.
  • Endicott Places 38 on NEFC All-Academic Team

    BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Endicott football team set a new program record by placing 38 gridiron student-athletes on the New England Football Conference (NEFC) All-Academic Team, eclipsing last year’s mark of 37 honorees. Of Endicott’s 38 names, seniors Jake Cox (Wrentham, Mass.), Brett Egizi (Westwood, Mass.), RJ Lynch (Bellingham, Mass.), Mike Marini (Trumbull, Conn.), and Luke Somers (Hampstead, N.H.) end their careers as three-time NEFC All-Academic winners.
  • ECAC North All-Star Accolades Awarded to Lewis and Holfinger

    DANBURY, Conn. – The 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) North All-Star Teams were announced on Monday afternoon and Endicott senior wide receiver Nate Lewis (Acushnet, Mass.) and graduate student defensive lineman Andrew Holfinger (Sterling, Mass.) added to their postseason accolades with First and Second Team honors, respectively.

    NEW YORK, N.Y. – Senior receiver Nate Lewis (Acushnet, Mass.) and senior left tackle Mike Marini (Trumbull, Conn.) were both recognized by USA College Football as NCAA Division III All-Americans becoming the eighth and ninth players in Endicott football history to receive national accolades for their gridiron athleticism.
  • Nate Lewis, Andrew Holfinger Named to D3Football.com All-East Team

    MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Following record-breaking football seasons this past fall, senior receiver Nate Lewis (Acushnet, Mass.) and graduate student defensive end Andrew Holfinger (Sterling, Mass.) have been named to the D3Football.com All-East Region Team. Lewis shattered Endicott’s single-season receiving records and led the nation in catches per game en route to being placed on the All-East Second Team while Holfinger, ranked 11th in NCAA Division III in sacks and the program’s new single-season sack record holder, was named to the All-East Third Team.
  • Nate Lewis Represents Endicott on NEFW All-New England Team

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – Endicott wide receiver Nate Lewis (Acushnet, Mass.) has been named along with 28 players representing 18 institutions on the 2014 New England Football Writers Division II/III All-New England Team following a senior season that saw Lewis lead the nation in receptions per game (9.7) and rank in the top five in receiving yardage (1,344).

    BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Nine players from the Endicott football roster were named to the 2014 New England Football Conference (NEFC) All-Conference Team led by First Team representatives graduate student defensive lineman Andrew Holfinger (Sterling, Mass.), senior offensive tackle Mike Marini (Trumbull, Conn.), junior tight end Dimitri Skinsacos (Old Orchard Beach, Maine), and senior wide receiver Nate Lewis (Acushnet, Mass.).
  • Frenette Throws for 507 Yards in Career Finale; Gulls Fall to Salve Regina

    MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – In their final game of the 2014 season, the Endicott football team suffered a 35-23 road loss to NEFC opponent Salve Regina on Saturday afternoon as their record dropped to 5-5 (4-3 NEFC) on the year. Several Endicott seniors playing in the final games of their career made an impact in this game including quarterback Drew Frenette (New Bedford, Mass.) who threw for a program record 507 yards and receiver Nate Lewis (Acushnet, Mass.) who turned in his seventh game with at least 100 yards receiving.
  • Final Drive Comes Up Short as Football Falls 33-28 at WNE

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Despite a school record 16 receptions with 198 yards receiving by senior Nate Lewis (Acushnet, Mass.) and 421 yards passing with three touchdowns by senior quarterback Drew Frenette (New Bedford, Mass.), the Endicott football team dropped their second straight NEFC game losing 33-28 to Western New England on the road. The Gulls saw their 2014 season record fall to 5-4 (4-2 NEFC) heading into their regular season finale at Salve Regina on Saturday, November 15th.
  • Craig Anderson Named to Capital One Academic All-District First Team

    GREENWOOD, Ind. – Endicott sophomore defensive end Craig Anderson (Franklin, Mass.) was among only 24 NCAA Division III gridiron players from Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont on the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District Team, which recognizes top student- athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Anderson is now eligible on the Capital One Academic All-American Team ballot where first, second and third team All-American honorees will be announced later this month.
  • Kyle Regan Collects Second NEFC Special Teams Player of the Week Award

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott kicker and punter Kyle Regan (Nashua, N.H.) did his part in keeping the MIT Engineers at bay in a 34-29 loss in week nine and the sophomore was rewarded with NEFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Regan has now won this award twice this season as he previously was recognized for his efforts in a week three win over Kean.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The last two remaining unbeaten teams in the NEFC faced off in rainy and windy conditions at Endicott Stadium on Saturday night, looking to take sole possession of first place, and despite a furious second half comeback by Endicott, MIT defeated the Gulls 34-29 for the first time in program history and now sit alone atop the conference standings.
  • Frenette Leads Comeback, Breaks Passing Records in Victory over Coast Guard

    NEW LONDON, Conn. – Endicott senior quarterback led two, fourth quarter touchdown drives to help the Gulls pull off a 14-13 victory over NEFC opponent Coast Guard and in the process became the program’s all-time leader in passing yardage and touchdowns. Frenette’s seven-yard touchdown pass to junior tight end Dimitri Skinsacos (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) was the senior’s 70th career touchdown, surpassing former Gulls quarterback Phil Konopka ’12, and also proved to be the game-winning score.

    BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Senior quarterback Drew Frenette (New Bedford, Mass.) collected his second consecutive NEFC Offensive Player of the Week award and sophomore defensive end Craig Anderson (Franklin, Mass.) was named NEFC Defensive Player of the Week honors following Endicott’s 26-16 win over Nichols in week six.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Heading into their week seven bye, the Endicott football team will own a 4-2 (3-0 NEFC) record with four straight wins after defeating conference opponent Nichols 26-16 on Saturday at Endicott Stadium. The fourth touchdown pass by Gulls senior quarterback Drew Frenette (New Bedford, Mass.), a 30-yard completion to senior wide out Brett Egizi (Walpole, Mass.), provided some much needed separation from a surging Nichols squad that had pulled within six points with 6:18 remaining in the game.

Frenette threw for 408 yards on 27 completions with four touchdown passes and zero intereptions.

    CASTINE, Maine – The Endicott football team put up a season-high 555 yards of total offense in a 45-28 Gulls victory over Maine Maritime on Saturday as freshman full back Lavante Wiggins (Dalton, Mass.) had a breakout game with 132 yards rushing and a score while senior quarterback Drew Frenette (New Bedford, Mass.) threw for 408 yards on 27-of-38 pass attempts with four touchdowns.

    BEVERLY, Mass. - For his efforts in Endicott's 28-6 over Curry in the first week of NEFC games, fifth-year linebacker Andrew Holfinger (Sterling, Mass.) was named the NEFC Defensive Player of the Week. Holfinger's two sacks on Colonels quarterback Spencer Tyler (Yarmouth Port, Mass.) signified his fourth straight game with a sack to start the season and also established a new, single-season high for the linebacker.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – On Homecoming Saturday, the Endicott football team garnered a 28-6 victory over Curry in the opening weekend of NEFC action as senior quarterback Drew Frenette (New Bedford, Mass.) threw three of his four touchdown passes to senior receiver Brett Egizi (Walpole, Mass.) and the Gulls defense, led by a two-sack performance by fifth-year linebacker Andrew Holfinger (Sterling, Mass.), was able to subdue a Colonels offense that held a significant advantage in time of possession.
  • Kyle Regan Earns NEFC Special Teams Player of the Week Honors

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Sophomore kicker/punter Kyle Regan (Nashua, N.H.) has been named NEFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in Endicott’s week three victory over Kean 41-28 on the road. Regan scored nine points in the game on two field goals (34, 25) and three extra points while landing four of his five punts inside the Cougars 20-yard line and averaging 55.1 yards with one touchback on kickoffs.
  • Endicott Takes Down NJAC Rival Kean for First Win

    UNION, N.J. – Three touchdown passes from senior quarterback Drew Frenette (New Bedford, Mass.), 139 yards receiving with both a touchdown catch and throw for senior receiver Nate Lewis (Acushnet, Mass.), and a timely pick-six for sophomore linebacker Marjan Solomon (Waltham, Mass.) were all key factors in Endicott’s gridiron victory of the season as the Gulls defeated NJAC rival Kean 41-28 on the road Saturday afternoon.
  • Endicott Loses Battle with #12 Hobart in Home Opener, 28-18

    BEVERLY, Mass. – In just their second game against a nationally-ranked opponent in program history, the Endicott football team suffered a home opener loss to #12 Hobart by a score of 28-18 at Endicott Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Statesmen saw three different players record rushing touchdowns including senior quarterback Patrick Conlan (Sewickley, Pa.) who punched one in on the team’s first offensive possession of the game and later threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to put Hobart ahead by two scores early in the second half.
  • Endicott Falls 20-17 to Framingham State in Matchup of Defending Conference Winners

    FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Week one of the 2014 NCAA Division III football season featured a stout matchup of defending conference champions in Endicott (NEFC) and Framingham State (MASCAC) who both qualified for NCAA postseason play in 2013. On Saturday, Framingham State defeated Endicott 20-17 as the Rams were able to force five turnovers in the game including an interception return for a touchdown, one of four picks for the Framingham State defense.
  • Quarterback Drew Frenette Named on D3 Senior Classic Preseason "Super Senior" Watchlist

    GOSHEN, N.Y. - The 2014 D3 Senior Classic Preseason Super Senior Watchlist has named the quarterback of the defending New England Football Conference (NEFC) champions Endicott, Drew Frenette (New Bedford, Mass.), to their Honorable Mention squad. Frenette, the reigning NEFC Offensive Player of the Year and All-Region honoree, will lead the Gulls into their 12th year of NCAA competition in which the program has won two conference titles, appeared in two NCAA Tournaments, and compiled 70-43 (.619) overall record.

    BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Endicott Football team has been selected by conference head coaches to repeat as champions of the New England Football Conference (NEFC) in 2014. Endicott is in search of the program’s third NEFC title, having won top honors in the conference previously in 2010 and 2013 with automatic bids into the NCAA Division III Tournament.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – USA College Football’s annual Preseason Division III All-American teams have been released and five Endicott gridiron stars were listed among the best players in the nation in anticipation of the 2014 season. Leading the pack for the Gulls is First Team Preseason All-American senior quarterback Drew Frenette (New Bedford, Mass.) who is the reigning NEFC Offensive Player of the Year and a NEFC First Team quarterback entering his senior season. Frenette and the four other honorees were integral pieces in Endicott’s (8-3, 7-0 NEFC) rise to the NEFC Championship and an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament.
  • Free ‘Football for YOU’ Youth Clinic Hosted by New England Patriots Alumni Coming to Beverly, Mass. on June 29th

    Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Mass.– Former New England Patriot, Jermaine Wiggins, along with other Patriots alumni, will host a FREE youth football clinic on Sunday, June 29th at Endicott College, 376 Hale Street, Beverly, Mass. Young Athletes ages 11-14 will enjoy a one-day, free, non-contact clinic that teaches them leadership, teamwork, and commitment. In addition to being coached by former Patriots players, the young athletes will also benefit from the coaching of local high school staff.
