ECAC North All-Star Accolades Awarded to Lewis and Holfinger

Endicott Football All-Region Winners

DANBURY, Conn. – The 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) North All-Star Teams were announced on Monday afternoon and Endicott senior wide receiver Nate Lewis (Acushnet, Mass.) and graduate student defensive lineman Andrew Holfinger (Sterling, Mass.) added to their postseason accolades with First and Second Team honors, respectively.

Lewis collected his third all-region trophy in this postseason award season after previously earning a spot on the D3Football.com All-East Region Second Team and the New England Football Writers All-New England squad. With the 2014 NCAA Division III season in the books following the Stagg Bowl on December 19th, Lewis can officially be named the nation's leader in receptions per game (9.7) while ranking third in receiving yards per game (134.4) and total receiving yards (1,344). The senior's consistency from wire-to-wire this season, with at least five receptions in all 10 games including three double-digit catch efforts, Lewis was also recognized nationally with First Team All-American honors from USA College Football.

Lewis ends his career with 153 receptions (5.1 per game), 2,024 receiving yards (67.5 per game), and 12 touchdowns. His career receptions and receiving yard numbers are Endicott programs as are his single-season totals.

Holfinger is now a two-time ECAC North All-Star honoree after earning a Second Team award following the 2013 season. Holfinger was also named to the D3Football.com All-East Region Third team this season as he produced 1.06 sacks per game good for 11th among NCAA Division III players. He also ranked 53rd in tackles for a loss per game (1.6). In nine games this fall, Holfinger totaled 62 tackles, 14.0 TFLs, 9.5 sacks, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, five pass break ups, and a blocked kick.

Holfinger broke Endicott's single-season sack record in 2014 while moving into second place all-time with 47.5 TFLs and 16.0 sacks and third for total tackles (212).

In 2014, both Lewis and Holfinger were named to the NEFC First Team at their respective positions.
