Nate Lewis Represents Endicott on NEFW All-New England Team

2014 New England Football Writers Division II/III All-New England Team

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Endicott wide receiver Nate Lewis (Acushnet, Mass.) has been named along with 28 players representing 18 institutions on the 2014 New England Football Writers Division II/III All-New England Team following a senior season that saw Lewis lead the nation in receptions per game (9.7) and rank in the top five in receiving yardage (1,344).

Lewis, a New England Football Conference (NEFC) First Team Receiver, shattered the Endicott record books with 97 receptions, 1,344 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns in his senior campaign. His single-season and career numbers for receptions and receiving yardage eclipsed the previous records held by former Gulls wide out Mike Murphy '13. Lewis also turned in a historic single-game performance in 2014 with a record-breaking 18-catch game in week 11 at Salve Regina.

During the year, Lewis had three games of at least 10 receptions and surpassed 100 yards receiving in all but three games this year. His season-high 198 yards receiving came in a week 10 road loss to Western New England. Lewis had two multi-touchdown games this fall, hauling in two end zone grabs from senior quarterback Drew Frenette (New Bedford, Mass.) in a 26-16 win over Nichols on October 11th and two more on Senior Day in a tightly-contested loss to eventual NEFC champion MIT.

Lewis ends his career with an Endicott program-best 153 catches and 2,024 receiving yards with 12 career touchdowns.

Lewis is one of just four players from the NEFC on the 2014 New England Football Writers Division II/III All-New England Team. Joining him are MIT running back Justin Wallace and offensive lineman Elliot Tobin as well as Curry defensive lineman Parrish Rogers-Reed. The All-New England selections and team captains are invited to the awards banquet on Thursday, December 11th at the Montvale Plaza in Stoneham, Mass.
