NEW YORK, N.Y. – Senior receiver Nate Lewis (Acushnet, Mass.) and senior left tackle Mike Marini (Trumbull, Conn.) were both recognized by USA College Football as NCAA Division III All-Americans becoming the eighth and ninth players in Endicott football history to receive national accolades for their gridiron athleticism.

Lewis, who was also named to the NEFC First Team, D3Football.com All-East Region Second Team, and New England Football Writers All-New England, was placed on the USA College Football Division III First Team along with just eight other wide outs from across the country. Lewis had a historic 2014 season, as his 9.7 receptions per game ranked him first among all NCAA Division III receivers and his 1,344 receiving yards placed him fifth. Those same numbers shattered previous Endicott program records as Lewis was a focal point for one of the country's most productive offenses.

Helping to protect quarterback Drew Frenette (New Bedford, Mass.), who ended his senior season with the seventh most passing yards per game (315.2) among all quarterbacks, was USA College Football NCAA Division III All-American Honorable Mention left tackle Mike Marini. Marini and his line mates were essential in securing the ninth-best passing offense in the nation that helped to produce 26.9 points per game.

Both Lewis and Marini are the first players at their respective positions to be named All-Americans from Endicott. In previous years, Dylan Rushe '14 (PK), Kevin Eagan '12 (DL), Taylor Allen '12 (TE), Mike Lane '12 (RB), Jason Silva '14 (DB), and Phil Konopka '12 (QB) have all earned All-American status from various organizations including the American Football Coaches Association, D3Football.com, and Beyond Sports Network.
