Equestrian Competes At Dartmouth Show

ETNA, N.H. – The Endicott equestrian team closed out its 2016 regular season slate of shows last Saturday at Dartmouth with five ribbon-worthy performances, and two regional qualifying rides.

Lillian Dugan (Butler, N.J.) and Silvia Graf (New London, N.H.) stood out for the Gulls as both student-athletes qualified for regionals in intermediate fences, and open flat, respectively. Dugan placed fourth in her event, while Graf was third in hers.

Endicott also saw Julia Cirignano (Winchester, Mass.) take first place in crossrails, and Jamie Smith (Hanover, Mass.) earn top honors in beginner walk trot canter to claim blue ribbons.

Along with Cirgnano and Smith, Meredith Bemus (Wilton, Conn.), Morgan Entwistle (Trumbull, Conn.), and Bronwen Hall (Methuen, Mass.) received red ribbons in the following events: novice fences, novice flat, and advanced walk trot canter.

OTHER SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

  • Entwistle, Emily Tell (Somers, Conn.), and Shannon Day (Westford, Mass.) were third in novice fences, while Katie Bolduc (Peabody, Mass.) finished fourth in the event, and Tracy Crosby (Norfolk, Mass.) ranked fifth.
  • Nicole McClellan (Tolland, Mass.) was third in intermediate flat.
  • Day came in third in novice flat, ahead of Bemus, Crosby, and Kate Moore (Scarborough, Maine) who all place fourth overall, respectively.
  • Jessica Hemphill (Essex Junction, Vt.) registered a fourth place finish in advanced walk trot canter.
  • Kelly Rhinelander (Georgetown, Mass.) finished fifth in advanced walk trot canter.
  • Sarah Novello (Newburyport, Mass.) placed fourth in beginner walk trot canter.
  • Kathleen Burke (Greenwich, Conn.) ranked third in walk trot in her collegiate debut.

Endicott will compete at Regionals at a time and date to be determined later.
