Equestrian Posts Fifth Place Showing At Dartmouth

ETNA, N.H. – The Endicott equestrian team capped its second show of the weekend on Sunday ranking fifth out of 11 programs at Dartmouth College, behind three blue ribbon rides and a regionals qualifying performance.

Nicole McClellan (Tolland, Mass.) headlined Sunday's show for the Gulls as she pointed out in open fences and qualified for regionals.

Meanwhile, Silvia Graf (New London, N.H.) opened up the Dartmouth Show with blue ribbon honors in open flat, while Jessica Hemphill (Essex Junction, Vt.) and Jamie Smith (Hanover, Mass.) both ranked first overall in their respective beginner walk trot canter classes.

Counting yesterday's show, Hemphill has now produced back-to-back blue ribbon performances in beginner walk trot canter, and also has finished third or better in the event in every show this season.

OTHER SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Gulls also saw McKenzie Paiva (Mansfield, Mass.), Kelly Rhinelander (Georgetown, Mass.), and Kate Moore (Scarborough, Maine) notch red ribbon performances. Paiva rode in intermediate flat, while Rhinelander competed in advanced walk trot canter, and Moore showed in novice fences.
  • Graf also finished fourth in open fences.
  • Lillian Dugan (Butler, N.J.) was sixth in both intermediate flat, and intermediate fences.
  • Paiva also ranked fourth in novice fences.
  • Gianna D'Aprile (Millis, Mass.) came in fifth in intermediate flat, and sixth in intermediate fences.
  • McClellan also registered a third place performance in intermediate fences, and a fourth place showing in intermediate flat.
  • Morgan Entwistle (Trumbull, Conn.) was fifth in novice flat, and novice fences, while teammates Julia Cirignanon (Winchester, Mass.), and Maddie Bridge (Anaheim Hills, Calif.) were both sixth in novice flat, respectively.
  • Bronwen Hall (Methuen, Mass.) turned in a sixth place showing in advanced walk trot canter.
  • Emily Teel (Somers, Conn.) and Meredith Bemus (Wilton, Conn.) ranked fourth and fifth, respectively, in novice fences.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott will compete at the University of New Hampshire show on Saturday before hosting its own home show on Sunday in Boxford, Mass. at Spring Tide Farms.
