Women's Cross Country Places Third Overall At Pop Crowell Invitational

WENHAM, Mass. – Led by a sixth place finish from Emma Farrington (Essex Junction, Vt.), the Endicott women's cross country team placed third overall out of 16 teams at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Saturday morning at Gordon College.

The University of New England grabbed the top spot with 25 points, while Eastern Connecticut State ranked second with 91 points. Endicott followed in third (106 points), Rhode Island College was fourth (121 points), and Gordon rounded out the top-five (142 points).

Farrington, the top finisher for the Gulls, crossed the line at 24:14.5 on the 6-kilometer course. Meanwhile, Aleah McKay (Bedford, N.H.) finished in 12th place (24:45.6), and Abigail Keim (Williston, Vt.), Sophia Conde (Bedford, Mass.), and Laura Pomeroy (Windham, N.H.) rounded out the top-five for Endicott in 27th (25:30.9), 31st (25:42.2), and 33rd (25:43.5) respectively. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Farrington was 38-seconds off the pace from finishing first overall.
  • The Gulls finished second overall out of the five other Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) teams competing in today's invitational.

Endicott will travel to Brunswick, Maine for the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday, September 29th at 1:30 PM.
