Title: Assistant Coach

Carleigh Petersen enters her second year as an assistant coach with the women’s volleyball program in 2024-25.

Along with her Endicott duties, Petersen currently is the head coach of the Avidity Volleyball Club. She has been with the team since 2016.

Her experiences with the Avidity Volleyball Club include coordinating schedules and planning practices, both team and individual sessions, and directing summer clinics for high school-level athletes. 

Petersen’s other previous experiences include serving as an assistant varsity coach at St. John’s Preparatory School, as well as being an assistant volleyball coach at Salem State University (2019-21).

The North Hills, California native was a two-year member of the women’s volleyball program at crosstown rival Gordon College.

During her time as a student-athlete at Gordon, Petersen recorded 616 kills, 2.96 kills per set, 587 digs, and earned two All-CCC selections (first team, 2015 | second team, 2016).

Petersen graduated from Gordon with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2017, before earning her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis (2021-23).
