Pierce and Sheehan To Compete in NEWVA Senior Classic

Seniors Cydney Pierce and Lauren Sheehan were selected to the NEWVA Senior Classic.

BEVERLY, Mass. - Cydney Pierce (Carpinteria, Calif.) and Lauren Sheehan (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) of the Endicott women's volleyball team have been selected to play in the New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA) Senior Classic this coming Sunday, December 3. The Classic will be hosted by Emerson in Boston, Mass., and will be comprised of the top 30 seniors in the region.

The duo helped lead Endicott to back-to-back Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) titles to end their careers. During their four years of playing, the Gulls posted an overall record of 86-49 (.637) and a record of 28-6 (.824) in CCC play. Endicott advanced to the CCC semifinals during their first two campaigns before defeating Western New England in 2016 and Roger Williams in 2017 to claim CCC titles to end their careers.

As a libero, Pierce finished the season with 445 digs to bring her career total to 1,504. Her career dig total placed her fifth in Endicott women's volleyball history. For the season, Pierce averaged 4.05 digs/set, while also posting a career-best 75 assists on the season, to go with 23 aces.

A rightside, Sheehan finished the season with 202 kills to give her 899 for her career, good for 10th in Endicott women's volleyball history. The Washington native was named to the All-CCC Third Team in 2017, earning All-CCC Accolades in each of the last three seasons.
