Dolan Named ECAC DIII New England All-Star First Team

CENTERVILLE, Mass.-  The 2013 season has been over for nearly a month now but the women's volleyball team continues to see individual accolades roll in.  The ECAC announced its annual All-Star teams on Friday and outside hitter Callie Dolan (Westford, Mass.) was named to the DIII New England First Team for her impressive senior campaign.  Dolan was one of three total Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) players that received the honor, joining Roger Williams' Krystie Luczynski and Western New England's Grace Kucharski.

The honor for Dolan comes after a stellar season in which she set personal records and rose up the all-time Endicott career and season ranks.  In her final year in the Blue and Green, the senior was able to eclipse the 1,000 kill plateau and finished the season with 1,096, the sixth highest career total in Endicott history.  Her 407 kills in 2013 rank fourth best in single season history and she nearly broke the school record for kills in a single match as she put up 25 in a five set win over St. Anselm.

For her performance in 2013, Dolan has now been named All-CCC First Team and All-NEWVA Honorable Mention.  Dolan and the Gulls finished with a 23-16 record while going 6-2 in CCC play.  The team rallied to make an appearance in the CCC Championship where they fell to Roger Williams, a team that they had defeated earlier in the season.  On Homecoming Weekend at Endicott, Roger Williams entered ranked #22 nationally and was a perfect 19-0 before the Gulls edged their rivals in a dramatic five set victory.
