Following Two Goal Debut, Burgess Named CCC Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- After tallying two goals in her collegiate debut, Endicott freshman Alexandra Burgess (Hebron, Conn.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week.

Burgess scored her first goal in an Endicott uniform with less than four minutes to go in the first half to give the Gulls a 2-0 lead.  The strike came off a cross from the left wing that she was able to one-touch into the back of the net. 

Her second tally came in the 76th minute off a high cross that she placed over the keeper and into the right corner to seal the 3-0 Endicott win.

The women's soccer team is back in action Wednesday afternoon when they play host to Babson at 4:00 p.m.
