Women's Ice Hockey Tops Nichols, 5-0, On Senior Day

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Nichols College, 5-0, on Saturday afternoon at Raymond J. Bourque Arena. 

Prior to today's contest seniors Ashlie Jones (Billerica, Mass.)Lauren Ferraiuolo (North Haven, Conn.)Alexa Pretkelis (Crystal Lake, Ill.), and Isabel Hill (Derry N.H.) were honored for their contributes to the women's ice hockey program and Endicott community in a senior day ceremony.

As for the game, The Gulls potted two goals in the first and second period and added one in the third to skate away with the 5-0 victory. 

Highlighting the Gulls on the scoresheet was Pretkelis who scored her first collegiate goal. 

Meanwhile, in net, Bailey Thieben (North Syracuse, N.Y.) made 19 saves to earn her second win of the season and her third career shutout. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Jacy Kuhlman (Severna Park, Md.)Courtney Sullivan (North Yarmouth, Maine), and Kaylee Liberty (Arlington Heights, Ill.) were the other goal scorers for the Blue and Green.
  • Kuhlman had her first career multi-goal game today for the Gulls. 
  • Sami Barletta (Walpole, Mass.) and Aurora Devereaux (Scituate, Mass.) earned their first collegiate point tonight as they each notched assists. 
  • Endicott improved to 11-2-0 against Nichols with today's win.

Endicott (4-0-0) and Nichols (0-3-0) will have their next opponents announced on their respective school websites.
