Springfield, Mass. - Endicott College junior guard Nicole Duchesne (Plaistow, N.H./Central Catholic) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference women's basketball Player of the Week, as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg Kaye on Monday morning.
Duchesne had another impressive week to help the Gulls remain undefeated in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (14-7 overall, 9-0 TCCC). Against conference foe Colby-Sawyer College, Duchesne notched 13 points and six rebounds in a 67-49 win. She followed with a dominating 19 point, four rebound, four steal and three assist effort in a 71-62 victory over Regis College on Saturday afternoon. For the week, Duchesne averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.5 assists per game, while shooting 46% from the field (10-of-22) and a stellar 93% from the free-throw line (12-of-13).
Endicott returns to action on Tuesday night as the Gulls put their unblemished conference record on the line against the University of New England. The Nor'easters enter Tuesday's contest with an 11-10 overall record and a 5-4 mark in the conference. UNE and EC are scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. tilt on Tuesday in Biddeford, Maine.
