SENIOR SEND-OFF: Endicott Roller Hockey Program

(The goal of our Senior Send-Off articles is to highlight teams and student-athletes who did not get to finish their season of competition and/or have their respective Senior Day games/events happen. We also hope that these stories serve as a positive light to anyone who reads them during these trying times.)

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott roller hockey team finished its 2019-20 season with a 19-4 overall record before the decision to cancel all remaining contests was finalized due to the COVID.

The team was led by one senior, Matt Kaski (Sandwich, Mass.), whose legacy will forever impact the roller hockey program both on and off the playing surface.

Here is what head coach Jake Fernandes '17  had to say about Kaski.

"Hockey aside, Matt is one of the best all-around people I’ve ever met. It takes a certain type of student-athlete/person to gain the utmost respect from your teammates, and Matty never had a problem with that. He was loved on and off the rink. His talent spoke for itself and his hard work is unmatched. Ending his career with the most games played in an EC Roller jersey is something to be very proud of. Matty also ends his career with the second-most points in program history. His impact on this program was instrumental to our growth, legacy, and of course, our National Championship. He will be missed."
