Endicott Finishes Third At Pop Crowell Invitational; Lehmann Breaks The Tape For The Gulls

WENHAM, Mass. — The Endicott men's cross country team ranked third overall out of five teams at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Sunday afternoon, hosted by Gordon College.

Host Gordon won the meet, while Wentworth, Endicott, Hartford, and Emerson followed in respective order on the team leaderboard.

Individually, the duo of Josh Lehmann (Gorham, Maine) and Caleb Nye (Hinesburg, Vt.) finished 1-2 on the 8-kilometer course with times of 26:50 and 27:04. 

The rest of the Gulls' scoring lineup included Cooper Downey (Hudson, N.H.) in 10th (28:30), Andrew Lauzon (North Andover, Mass.) in 22nd (29:34), and Shane Cataloni (Attleboro, Mass.) in 25th (29:53). 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Lehmann produced his first collegiate victory.
  • Based on available data, Lehmann is the first Gull on the men's side to win the Pop Crowell Invitational.
  • Henry Bybee (Hampton, N.H.) and Jon Rodrigues (Walpole, Mass.) notched personal bests (30:05, 32:16).

Endicott competes at the Codfish Bowl on Saturday, September 23 in Boston, Mass. (Franklin Park) at 10:30 AM.
