John Breen
Title: Assistant Coach

John Breen enters his seventh season as an assistant coach with the Endicott men's volleyball program in 2024-25. Breen will focus his efforts on the setters within the program.

Breen was named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Men's Assistant Coach of the Year in 2024 following Coach Chapell stepping away to focus on his health. Breen also played a major role in fostering the playing development of several student-athletes at various positions despite being hired to work primarily with setters.

A former NCAA Division I setter at Sacred Heart University, Breen still ranks fourth all-time in assists per set in a single-season (11.37, 2007) and fourth all-time in career assists (1,029, 2005-07). Breen also played at the University of Findlay from 2002-05.

Meanwhile, prior to coaching at Endicott, Breen served as an assistant coach with both the Emerson College men's and women's volleyball programs (2013-14), the Lasell College men's volleyball program (2011-13), and the North Shore Juniors club team (2000-15). He also served as the head coach of the Smash Volleyball Club in 2013.

Breen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Sacred Heart and a JD from the Syracuse University College of Law. He currently serves as a financial advisor with Raymond James Financial Services/Boston Harbor Wealth Advisors and operates his own law office in addition to assisting at Endicott.
